Laura Wright - Treasurer
Hello! My name is Laura Wright. I am the Treasurer here at the Casey United Methodist Church. I grew up in Newton, IL and graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 1996 with a bachelor of science in business with my major as accounting.
I married Michael Wright, a Casey native, in 1998 and after living near Atlanta, GA and Dothan, AL, we decided to come home to Illinois in 2001. Michael & I worked side by side in our own motorcycle accessory business since 1995. Currently, I do all the accounting and office support for Michael’s company High Flight. Michael provides pilot services for various companies in IL, IN, & MO and he is also a Captain in the Indiana Air National Guard out of Terre Haute. We have been blessed with 2 children, Britney and Brian. Britney is 13 and in 7th grade. She is involved in soccer, track, basketball, band, & choir. Brian is 10 and is in 4th grade. He also loves soccer, baseball, basketball, and loves to read.
When I have a break from the kids’ activities, I enjoy reading, puzzles, watching Nascar, bowling and have a lot of sewing projects to complete. I am very thankful to be a part of the Casey UMC family. This family has blessed my spiritual journey so much.
